ONE adds Kenya to Middle East – India – Africa service
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has introduced a new port call in Mombasa, Kenya to its Middle East – India – Mozambique (MIM) service.
This additional call will provide a direct connection between the Middle East, India and Kenya, as well as enhance ONE’s global network, according to the company’s statement.
The route name has been changed to Maputo/Mombasa – India – Middle East service to reflect the added port call.
The service will kick off from the Westbound sailing arriving at Jebel Ali on 9 September, and the Eastbound sailing from Mombasa on 20 September.
The new rotation will be as follows:
Jebel Ali – Mundra – Mombasa – Maputo – Jebel Ali (Bi-weekly frequency)
ONE logged a record first quarter of the financial year riding the wave of high freight rates, in spite of softening in demand.
In 1Q FY2022, ONE registered a profit of $5.49 billion, an increase of $2.94 billion from the same period last year.
